From the New York Times comes a rather interesting story about UnitedHealth, who is apparently offering an insurance product, called “Continuity,” that guarantees your future ability to buy health insurance, even if you get ill.

Basically, it protects your ability to be insured down the road no matter what happens.Skydiving

This coverage is targeted at people who might have insurance now but don’t know if they’ll lose it.

Thus, they’re worried they might not be able to get a reasonable fee when they’re searching for insurance on their own again.

Its an interesting idea and if the health care system remains as funky as it is, maybe not such a bad one.
