The red river, as we all know, has been reaking havok all over the the upper midwest. Many people find themselves facing the possibility of flood. Not only do they have to think about their own safety in this, but they also have to worry about their homes and their cars. You don’t ever see a flood coming. There are flood zones that only rarely have floods and then there are those that have floods more than once in a year.  It is hard to decide to spring for the flood insurance when there hasn’t been a consistent history of floods in the area. It may even seem like a big waste. However, once you factor in the cost of your vehicles and of your home, you might begin to think a little differently.

When you have insurance, you are essentially paying each month into a fund for your own security. They use the money you pay into their company to help other people who have needed to file claims and now have to collect money. Now, nothing could ever happen to your car, your health, or your home; but chances are high that something will and when you are prepared,it usually works out that having insurance was a life saver.

Anyway, I thought you might like to read this story as a wake up call about the importance of insurance.
