There isn’t really any way to plan out your life in a way that gets you out of dangerous situations. Even if there were, inevitably, something would go wrong for you in your lifetime. You need to be sure that you and yours will be covered in the case that something ever does go wrong. If you have a special needs children or an elderly parent to take care of, it might be hard for you to find a company willing to cover you late in the game. Insurance, in my opinion, is something you should think about at the very begining. When you get married, you should get insurance. If you get pregnant, you should get insurance for that child. Sometimes, it even pays  to get travelors insurance. There is no way to be prepared fully for the unexpected, but having insurance definitely eases the burdon placed on you.
