Graduation HatOk, the dreaded day is fast approaching. Your child is going to graduate from high school. We never want to say goodbye and as parents we wonder if we have taught them everything they need to know in order to succeed in the real world. One question in particular is very important. Are they prepared for caring for themselves in the future? Did you know that most health insurance companies will drop dependents over the age of 19 who are not full time students? Have you planned for what you will do if that is the case? In my opinion, it would be good to teach your child how to start paying for their own policy. In the future they will need their own policy anyway. Plus, the monthly payments will likely be low considering the age and the health of the individual. Also, it might be a good idea to put them on their own Auto insurance if they are not already. These children who were once in diapers are only about 5 years away from the possibility of having children of their own. We want them to be safe and responsible. To begin the journey of life on their own, we have to first give them the opportunity to be on their own. Here are a few sites about easy insurance plans for college students and those who are jump starting their careers.
